Primavera Tip: Copy/Paste Role of Resources
The following may already be known by all of you, but it’s still a
pretty slick trick.
Ever wish you could just copy/paste roles or resources from one
activity to another (or several others)? Here’s an alternative.
1. Select the activity that has the resources you want to copy.
2. From the “Resources” tab of the Details screen, select one of the
resources. Even though the first one is highlighted, select it again
to make sure that you are active in the resources screen.
3. Select “Ctrl-a” (for all), or use the Shift or Ctrl keys to
select the activities you want to copy.
4. Click the “Add Role” or Add Resource” button to open that
window. You will see that all of the roles/resources that you selected
are highlighted.
5. Select the activity or activities (again using the Shift or Ctrl
keys for multiple activities) you want to copy these into.
6. Click the “Assign” (+) button.
It’s still not quite as easy as “Ctrl-C” – “Ctrl-V” would
be, but it’s a decent workaround.
