Process Groups:

  • Initiating: The knowledge, skills and processes required to ensure proper commitment to the new project or phase
  • Planning: The knowledge, skills and processes required to ensure development of complete, accurate, maintainable and communicable project plans
  • Executing: The knowledge, skills and processes required to ensure the achievement of project objectives through coordination, integration, and resource management
  • Controlling: The knowledge, skills and processes required to ensure the achievement of project objectives through effective control of scope, time, cost, quality and risks
Closing: The knowledge, skills and processes required to ensure acceptance of project deliverables and an orderly end to a project or phase.
